Saturday football - FA Cup 3rd Round
There’s always been something special about this day. The first fixtures of the year, the proper start of the road to Wembley, and the joy of non-league taking a swipe at aristocracy. And sometimes coming out on top. So here goes.

CRYSTAL PALACE vs SOUTHAMPTON (1230)
Not the sort of game that many Saints fans will welcome. Some may even welcome defeat. Then again, Palace are in a bit of a slump and are far from invulnerable. But you’d still expect them to win. Home win.

FOREST GREEN ROVERS vs BIRMINGHAM CITY (1230)

GILLINGHAM vs LEICESTER CITY (1230)
Banana skin alert. “These games are made for heroes,” said Gills boss and former Wall man Neil Harris. What is means is that the Gills have a sporting chance to beat the season before last’s Cup winners. Quaint. Away win.

PRESTON NORTH END vs HUDDERSFIELD (1230)

READING vs WATFORD (1230)

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs PORTSMOUTH (1230)
Play up Pompey. Hmm. Home win.

BLACKPOOL vs NOTTINGHAM FOREST (1500)
Forest’s socks have been well pulled up of late. Which leaves little opportunity for the Tangerines. Away win.

BOREHAM WOOD vs ACCRINGTON STANLEY (1500)

BOURNEMOUTH vs BURNLEY (1500)
Championship leaders visit falling Cherries. Who’s favourite? No idea. Draw.

CHESTERFIELD vs WEST BROMWICH ALBION (1500)

FLEETOWOOD TOWN vs QUEENS PARK RANGERS (1500)

HULL CITY vs FULHAM (1500)

IPSWICH TOWN vs ROTHERHAM UNITED (1500)

MIDDLESBROUGH vs BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION (1500)

MILLWALL vs SHEFFIELD UNITED (1500)
Two of our favourite other teams. Hard to distinguish between them.

SHREWSBURY TOWN vs SUNDERLAND (1500)

BRENTFORD vs WEST HAM UNITED (1730)
This is almost tediously repetitive. Perhaps the worst result would be a draw. Shit season continues. Draw.

COVENTRY CITY vs WREXHAM (1730)

GRIMSBY TOWN vs BURTON ALBION (1730)

LUTON TOWN vs WIGAN ATHLETIC (1730)

SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY vs NEWCASTLE UNITED (1800)
Pity the Owls. Away win.

LIVERPOOL vs WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS (2000)
Home win.

*SUNDAY*

BRISTOL CITY vs SWANSEA CITY (1230)

DERBY COUNTY vs BARNSLEY (1230)

CARDIFF CITY vs LEEDS UNITED (1400)

HARTLEPOOL UNITED vs STOKE CITY (1400)

NORWICH CITY vs BLACKBURN ROVERS (1400)

STOCKPORT COUNTY VS WALLSALL (1400)

ASTON VILLA vs STEVENAGE (1630)

MANCHESTER CITY vs CHELSEA (!630)

*MONDAY*

OXFORD UNITED vs ARSENAL (2000)

The new manager bounce didn’t last long at Villa.

What? 4 league wins, up to 11th, out of relegation danger. Pretty much job done for this season.

if he's 'purely the coach', then he won't have much longer in the job because they look like an utter shambles

Boehly is likely the biggest problem at Chelsea - long may it continue.

Did he sign him though? He is purely the coach.

welcome to west ham? he looks like he hasn't got a clue what he's doing. signing a snide character like felix is mental behaviour, especially when going through a bad stretch

They look very frustrated. Can see another red card coming unless he makes a lot of subs.

Joao Felix sent off on his debut. Things looking grimmer by the game for Potter.

Not a bad draw at all and shaping up nicely with Newcastle and Chelsea out, Liverpool maybe to follow and either Man City or Arsenal to go out in the next round.

Cracking draw this, old school club and plenty of tickets for away fans, and agree from earlier that it's probably better for us to go up there.

Daveyg

I’m guessing you have only just been released from prison, sex crimes I’d guess, because you would have seen that I have said Moyes should go.

Keep up there’s a good chap.

Two

Clearly.

Your limited knowledge on Football is widely known on here.
As is your thinking that Moyes is a great manager and should stay at WH for as long as he wants.
